PILE ANNOUNCE NEW RECORD

One of our absolute favourites, Pile, have announced a new record entitled In The Corners of a Sphere-Filled Room. Recorded over a two year period, the new LP features fourteen tracks but no “songs.” The band’s newsletter says the album is “a collection of noise we made intermittently between December 2018 and January 2021, strung together to make a little under an hour of music that we think sounds somewhat cohesive.” Like Green and Gray, the band’s stellar 2018 release, Kevin McMahon handled the production duties, and Elisabeth Fuchsia (violin) and Jane Scarpantoni (cello) make guest appearances. The album arrives May 7th courtesy of Exploding in Sound! Review soon to follow.
